Postpartum Doula

Services

It’s about you and your new family.

The time after we give birth is so freaking vulnerable. Western society completely does us a disservice by telling us we need to get up and get “back to normal” as quickly as possible.

Fuck that.

This is the time when we need help. When we need to stop what we’re doing and slow down. When we NEED to allow our bodies to heal properly after what they just went through.

There are so many aspects of our postpartum time that needs support, and that’s where a postpartum doula can come in.

What’s Included:

  • I will provide light cleaning like dishes, tidying up kitchen, swapping laundry, picking up rooms, etc.

  • I can provide both physical and educational support for feeding baby. Wherever you’re at and whatever your plans are: breast/chest feeding, bottle feeding, formula feeding, pumping and care of pumping parts, etc.

  • I can of course help with baby: changing (either disposable or cloth), safe sleep, burping, bathing, etc.

  • I will make sure you are fed and hydrated and can cook/prepare light meals for you.

  • Have other children? I can help with sibling transition. I was a preschool teacher so getting on their level is second nature at this point.

  • Need help organizing baby’s nursery or going through all of their million pieces of clothes? Let’s do it.

  • Need me to run errands for you? I can do that. Need me to run errands with you to help? I got you.

  • Want me to just sit with you for a bit and listen to whatever is on your mind? Let’s make you some warm tea (I can make a coffee), and we can get comfy and cozy and talk. I’m here for you.
